This past weekend I had the honor of being a Wedding Coordinator for Wise Events & Design. Monique, Owner and Principle Event Planner of Wise Events & Design is my mentor, and she allowed me to gain more experience with wedding planning.
I was so excited to learn new things and see this beautiful luxury wedding unfold right before my eyes.
I was assigned a few tasks by Monique. She wanted me to be in charge of:
The Videographer - Akeem: I needed to give him direction of what the bride & groom requested to shoot for the wedding videos.
The Photographer -Angela Lauren Company: I was to give her the photo list of all necessary shots for the ceremony & reception, as well as give her items for flat-lays (the wedding invitation, wedding flowers, and their monogram)
The Hairstylist - Ashley Mitchel Salon and Spa: I had to make sure that she arrived on schedule for the bride & bridesmaids hair.
The Ringbearer & Flower Girl Items - I provided their children with their items (flower basket & ring pillow) and got them ready to go down the aisle.
I also helped managed and coordinate many other tasks to ensure the wedding went on without a hitch!
The ceremony and reception took place at the Springs Cypress located in Cypress, Texas. It was a castle-like mansion, that took just your breath away.
The location perfectly fit the bride and grooms desired style for their wedding. They wanted the venue to look and feel exclusive, like "Club Davis", which I thought was very cute.
The wedding colors were black & white, which is a classic color combination that worked perfectly with this venue.
The ceremony was lovely, but the reception was my favorite part! This wedding was intimate, around 100 guests were invited and it was so nice to see close friends and family celebrating Juan & Tamika's love story.
I mean look at how she's glowing! They are such a beautiful couple!
I am so thankful to Monique at Wise Events & Design for allowing me this opportunity to grow in the wedding planning industry. I will definitely use the skills I gained through this experience towards the next wedding I plan and design.
